He founded Waynesburg鈥檚 track and field teams in 2005 and built the program into perennial conference contenders. A five-time PAC Coach of the Year and the 2010 Mid-East Region Women鈥檚 Coach of the Year, Falvo guided the Yellow Jacket women to PAC outdoor championships in 2013, 2016, and 2017, as well as the 2017 PAC indoor title.

During his tenure at Waynesburg, his student-athletes earned six PAC Field Athlete of the Year awards and five All-America honors in the javelin, shot put, and pole vault. In addition to coaching track and field, Falvo spent 14 seasons with Waynesburg鈥檚 football program as assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, and special teams coordinator.

鈥淚 am beyond excited and thankful to Bill Ross for the opportunity to be at 大象视频,鈥 Falvo said. 鈥淚t is an honor to carry on the outstanding tradition of success our cross country and track and field programs have enjoyed both academically and athletically. I am all in for Allegheny.鈥

Jason has a proven history of success in the Presidents鈥 Athletic Conference, and he understands the level of competition our teams face on the regional and national stage each season,鈥 Ross said. 鈥淗is experience and commitment to student-athlete development make him an outstanding choice to lead our cross country and track and field programs.

Most recently, Falvo served as head coach of men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 track and field and cross country at West Liberty University, a Division II member of the Mountain East Conference (MEC). After three seasons as an assistant coach working with sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers, he was promoted to head coach in August 2023. Under his leadership, the Hilltoppers produced multiple national qualifiers and All-Americans, plus the 2024 MEC Women鈥檚 Freshman of the Year and the 2025 MEC Men鈥檚 Track Athlete of the Year. In his final year as an assistant coach in 2023, Falvo helped guide West Liberty to its first-ever MEC Men鈥檚 Indoor Track and Field Championship.

Falvo鈥檚 resume also includes stints as head track and field coach at Division II PennWest Clarion in 2018-19 and at Eastern University in 2019-20. In his lone season at Eastern, the Eagles won the 2020 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) women鈥檚 indoor championship, and Falvo earned both MAC Women鈥檚 Indoor Coach of the Year and Mid-East Region Coach of the Year honors.

A native of Washington, Pennsylvania, Falvo was a multi-sport athlete at Juniata College, competing in football and track from 1994-98. He was a three-time all-conference selection in football and set school records in the 200-meter dash and 4×100-meter relay.

Falvo earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in elementary education from Waynesburg in 2001, a master鈥檚 in education from Muskingum University in 2003, and a master鈥檚 in administration and coaching from Waynesburg in 2017. He also holds multiple USA Track and Field and USTFCCCA coaching certifications.
