Application Materials
International transfer students:聽follow instructions on聽.
Transcripts, evaluations, letters of recommendation, and college official鈥檚 forms must be sent directly from institutions such as your high school or college. Transcripts and forms sent by the applicant will not be considered official.
Official College Transcript(s)
Have official college transcripts from all institutions attended sent directly to 大象视频 from the institutions. Transcripts can be sent through electronic transcript services or via the mail. A transcript that is stamped 鈥淚ssued to the Student鈥 is not considered official.
College Official鈥檚 Form
Download and request in person聽(complete the top section in advance)
This form needs to be signed by the Dean of Students (or office that handles student conduct/disciplinary issues), Academic Dean or Provost at your most recently attended college and returned via mail or email directly from the institution.
Final Official High School Transcript
Request that your secondary school submit an official final transcript.
Course Descriptions
Descriptions for all classes on your transcript(s) can be taken from the catalogue from each college attended. Course descriptions from the online catalogue can be cut and pasted into a word document then sent via email to the transfer coordinator (see info at right).
Instructor Evaluation or Recommendation letter from a Professor or Instructor

For applicants that are veterans, we will accept a recommendation letter from a military superior in lieu of a faculty letter if you wish.
Personal Essay
Your essay is an opportunity to express your individual creativity and share more about who you are with the admission and scholarship committees. You can submit any essay following any of the , regardless of which application you apply with.
Admitted Students
Once you鈥檝e been accepted, make it official by submitting your enrollment deposit. Then you鈥檒l get all the details on classes, housing, and orientation.
Transfer Applying at a Glance

Financial Aid
- Merit-based scholarships up to $42,000 are available for eligible transfer students.
- Need-based financial aid is available; please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid ().
- Financial aid priority dates are June 1 for Fall Semester and November 1 for Spring semester.

Transfer Credits
- A 2.5+ is preferred. If applicable, a GPA as computed by a two-year college, with or without an associate degree, will be accepted.
- The maximum number of credits accepted in transfer is 64, which is 50% of the credits required for graduation.
- Only credits with a grade of C or better are transferable in acceptable courses.
- The Registrar鈥檚 Office evaluates all credits for transfer after the student has been accepted to Allegheny; transcripts can be evaluated prior to submitting a formal application by special request.
- A transfer student with an associate degree may be able to receive a baccalaureate degree in two years. The degree path chosen and applicability of prior coursework will be significant determining factors in the duration of the bachelor鈥檚 degree.
- Some credits earned by examination may be accepted, i.e. CLEP [general subject], pass-fail, armed services.
- It is preferred that a transfer student have the same high school classes required of entering freshmen. These may be satisfied by college courses and possibly accepted towards a baccalaureate degree.
- Technical courses will not be transferred for credit.
